Mehlbergs Live!A healthy dose of friends and family. agosto 2007 Our blog is moving! Our blog is moving! We hope you find our new blog less cluttered and more simple. Please follow us to: http://the-mehlbergs.blogspot.com. See you there! giugno 2007 The Henry BlanketHenry and I, caught sleeping on the floor. Our sweet little chocolate pup was keeping me warm. Awwwww :-). Hotel Marriott, Bethesda, MDJust got back from a grueling business trip to Bethesda, MD. What was grueling? Landing in Chicago at 1am and making the 3 hour drive home. I have to say though, it's never felt better to climb into bed :-). And luckily I got a great nights sleep the night before at the hotel. I managed to get lucky and land a Marriott Suites hotel room which was amazing! Here are some pics I took with the new cell phone (Samsung Upstage... really awesome phone by the way--I'll blog about it later). febbraio 2007 The Snow Followed Us to the Windy City!It was a beautiful weekend in Chicago. Not the bright and sunny kind that most would think, but a giganto-snow-flake on a city skyline kind of beauty that is probably only awe-inspiring to those that don't live in a downtown metropolitan area. I don't have any pictures of the snow for you, but I do have pictures of the hotel and our journey through the underworld. Tough I know, but you'll just have to deal :-). The hotel Monaco, Chicago was one of the most charismatic and pleasant hotels at which I've ever stayed. The rooms were clean and cozy with a modern feel. Extremely tall ceilings made way for us giants in the room :-). And the pillows... oh the pillows. So fluffy, so fantastic! It was all we could do to leave for some sightseeing at the Shedd Aquarium. The Shedd attraction was the komodo dragon exhibit. This was the reason we went, though we never ended up getting close to seeing it. Like kids in a candy store, we hopped around sampling all the other sights the Shedd had to offer. Ending on a dolphin show lifted our spirits and prepared us for a fun night of dining out, wandering around, and relaxing. We hope to get back soon. Until we do, these pictures should tide us over. For a full album of pictures and high quality prints, contact Mike. febbraio 2007 No Genie, but my Wish Came TrueEnding a blog with quotes from Bing (see previous entry) apparently is a special order sent directly to Mother Nature. Three more inches of snow and now I'm at an all-time record of 7 shoveling events! It is another one of those beautiful mornings though. One that's inspired us to search high and low for slick sledding hills. Here are some more pictures of our fluffy white fun. |
